How To Delete Existing Post?

Log into Your WordPress Dashboard

Login to your WordPress website’s admin dashboard by entering your username and password.

Navigate to the Posts Section

From the menu on the left side of the dashboard, hover over the “Posts” option. This will reveal a submenu.

Access All Posts

Click on “All Posts” from the submenu. You’ll be taken to a page displaying a list of your published and draft posts.

Find the Post You Want to Delete

Scan the list of posts or use the search bar to locate the specific post you wish to remove.

Hover Over the Post

As you hover your mouse cursor over the title of the post, a set of action links will appear beneath it.

Move the Post to Trash

Click on the “Trash” link among the action options. This will place the post in the trash, where it will be stored temporarily.

Permanently Delete (Optional)

If you’re certain about removing the post permanently, you must empty the trash. Go to the top of the “All Posts” page and click on the “Trash” link. This will display a list of trashed posts. Choose the posts you want to erase permanently, then click the “Empty Trash” button.

Remember, once a post is permanently deleted, it cannot be recovered directly through WordPress. If you have any doubts or concerns, consider creating a backup of your content before proceeding.

Keep in mind that the exact steps might vary slightly depending on the version of WordPress you’re using and any plugins or customizations you have in place. Always take care when deleting content to prevent accidental removal.
